2026 Season Tryouts

Information about our 2026 Season Tryouts

Below you will find information for registered players on dates, location and tryout grouping times.
There is no cost to attend tryouts. Once teams are finalized, a deposit will be collected to secure your player’s spot on the team.

Tryout Location

All tryout sessions will take place at Southern Alberta Collegiate (SAC) 1351 30 Street SW, Medicine Hat.

Saturday, February 14

Players born in 2011, 2012 or 2013: 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Players born in 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010: 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Wednesday, February 18

Make-Up Session Only

This session is only for players who indicated during registration that they are unable to attend the Saturday, February 14 session.
All ages: 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Please note this session takes place during winter workouts.

Saturday, February 21

Players born in 2011, 2012 or 2013: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Players born in 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010:  3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Attendance Expectations

As outlined above, two tryout dates are required as part of the evaluation process. If you are unable to attend one of the required sessions, please reach out so we can discuss alternative arrangements.

What to Expect at Tryouts

Session One: Athletic testing

Session Two: Coach evaluations, including position-specific skills and arm strength

Tryout Results and Roster Timeline

Monday, February 23: Teams are expected to be announced.

Please note that team announcements are dependent on the final availability of all players registered to try out and our ability to evaluate all players equally through the tryout process. If additional evaluation time is required to ensure fair and accurate assessment, communication will be shared directly with families.

    Players born 2007–2011

  • Knights - Montana/Alberta State League – American Legion A
    Players born 2007–2011

  • 18U AA - Baseball Alberta Provincial League (Tier 1, 2, or 3)
    Players born 2008–2010

  • Majestics - Baseball Alberta Provincial League (Tier 1 or 2)
    Players born 2011–2012

  • Aces - Baseball Alberta Provincial League (Tier 2 or 3)
    Players born 2011–2013

Tryout Registration – FAQs

Is there a cost to attend tryouts?

No. Tryouts are free.

This form is for season tryout registration only. After the registration deadline, players and families will receive a confirmation of date, location and tryout grouping times.

What is this registration form for?

The first tryout will be held on February 14, 2026 for all potential teams being evaluated. If there is a need for a second tryout date, it will be communicated via email to registrants and then added to the website.

When are tryouts?

Confirmation of dates, location and tryout grouping times will be sent by email after registration closes on February 6 and final numbers are confirmed.

When will I receive tryout details?

A deposit will be collected after teams are finalized to secure your player’s spot on the team.
