The Big League Baseball program within the Montana State / Alberta American Legion Baseball Association is the most important baseball organization to our community and surrounding area. It is the goal and dream of our Little League players to wear the royal blue, red, and white of the Majestics, Knights and Monarchs. The model of developing players and separating them to compete against each other in High School Baseball, then uniting them to represent our community internationally in the Montana / Alberta Legion League, has been the vision and successful goal of the program.
I am forever indebted to the pioneers and builders of this program and the culture they established. Mentorship, teamwork, community, competition, self improvement, pride, and passion were all hallmarks of this baseball environment. Many of the most impactful mentors in my life - Lovell McDonnell, Wayne Schlosser, Joe Eisenmann, and Rob MacDonnell - helped shape me during my playing days and remain close friends and mentors to this day.
Some of the most important friendships in my life were formed through this baseball program. Our friendships were forged on the bus and on baseball fields throughout Montana and it’s bordering states. These experiences broadened our perspectives and grew our love and respect for Montana, the United States, as well as for our hometown and Canada.
